ACC Last Stave

We had read the final stave, stave five. In stave five, Scrooge had been finished with being visited by all of the spirits. He was finally done with all the visits and he was very jovial. He was celebrating all around the room and making sure he was not crazy. He started to look out the window that he had seen spirits in and he was looking around. The room he was in was his room. Scrooge then stuck his head out his window to ask a boy that was walking by what day it was. When the boy replied that it was Christmas Day, Scrooge was very jovial. He knew that it was not too late. He told the boy to buy him the priced turkey at the butcher shop and to tell the deliverer to deliver it to the Cratchit Family House. He then found one of the portly gentlemen and decided to donate a large sum to the charity since he did not donate before. Next, Scrooge goes to Fred house. Earlier, Fred had invited Scrooge to a dinner party. Scrooge came to Fred's home and joined their party. He had a great time, finally getting close to family. Finally, the next day, he gave Bob a raise in salary. He played it off like he was being his old self, but finally gave Bob a raise. Now Bob is happier at work. Scrooge also helped Tiny Tim with medications and now Scrooge become a fatherly role to Tim.

In the final stave, Scrooge finally starts to change. After all the visits of the spirits, he was affected by all of the strong emotions of the spirits. In my opinion, buying a turkey for the whole Cratchit family is very nice. I think that he's finally going to live a happier life. It's going to be full of joy and family. Before, he did not want anything to do with family or friends. He tried avoiding connections with other people. Now, he is actually making an effort to try to put the things he did in the past. He is putting effort in trying to get closer with his only family Fred, and he's trying to get close friends. In my opinion, I think that people will actually show up to his funeral now, unlike before as we saw with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Especially the Cratchit Family, since now he is doing a lot for them. He's also now a fatherly role to Tiny Tim and probably will continue to care and provide for him.

ACC Last Stave

In the last stave, Scrooge wakes up and he promises to keep the Christmas Spirit all year long. Scrooge is happy as an angel and is happy that everything in his house is his. Scrooge will live in the Past, Present, and Future. Scrooge remembers where Jacob Marley entered his house and remembers where the Ghost of Christmas Present sat. Scrooge could remember the date, so he asks a boy what the date is and he says it is Christmas Day. Scrooge gives the boy money, so he could go get the prize turkey. Once the boy gets back, he gives the boy money and gets a cab to take the turkey to Bob's house. Scrooge gets dressed and he starts walking down the streets saying Merry Christmas and smiling at people. He sees the portly gentlemen again and donates a lot of money to the poor because Scrooge should have been giving money to the poor for years, so he is giving a large amount of money to make up for that. Scrooge goes to Fred's house and knocks on Fred's door. Scrooge goes to Fred's dinner and has a great time. The next day, Scrooge waits for Bob and is hoping he will be late. Bob is late and once Bob comes into work, Scrooge starts yelling at him, but after Scrooge does that, he raises Bob's salary. Bob thinks that Scrooge is insane because Scrooge wouldn't do something like this and Scrooge yelled at him before raising his salary. Scrooge says Merry Christmas to Bob and Bob is able to support his family. Scrooge becomes a second father to Tiny Tim and Tiny Tim is alive. Tiny Tim is older at the end of the stave and Scrooge and Tiny Tim have a good relationship.
I liked this last stave and Scrooge is starting to overcome his avarice. He is will to donate to the poor and is willing to pay his employees more. He is making good relationships with his friends and family. Scrooge is much happier and is not miserable anymore. Scrooge is hanging out more with Fred and the Cratchits. Scrooge changed and he helped Tiny Tim. Scrooge can affect other people by the way he acts and by changing, he is making people feel happier. This book has taught me a lot of lessons and it is sad to see this book go. This book could help people many ways and teach them to be happy and not miserable.

Final Thoughts

We have finished reading A Christmas Carol. In the last stave we got to see how Scrooge fulfilled his promise to the spirit of Christmas yet to come. Right when Scrooge wakes you he yells out merry Christmas to everyone and dances around because he is filled with so much joy. Scrooge does other things like give the Cratchit's a large turkey for Christmas and he gives Bob a rase. Scrooge also gives a large amount of money to make up for all of the times he should of given money and goes to Fred’s party so he can have a better relationship with him. The main thing that Scrooge does is saving Tiny Tim.
Scrooge does this by paying for medical bill and acting as a second father for Tiny Tim. Now that we are done with the book overall I think this is one of the first books that I have liked the movie or play more than the book. I have seen the movie of this book many times almost every Christmas. Although the movies show the same thing as the book I felt like I could understand the movie better than the book. I found myself getting easily bored while reading the book because I already knew what would happen.
Also without prior background knowledge and understanding the vernacular it was hard to understand. In the movies or plays you can just see what Dickens was trying to say. I still liked the book and I’m glad I read it because it gave me a new way to look at this story. Now I when I go back to watch the movie version of this book I will have a better understanding of the plot. I can also compare it to the movie.

Scrooge's 2nd birth

Summary
Scrooge woke up from the three spirits lessons, he looked around, and saw that none of his curtains were torn down, and that everything that he owned was there, and he said that he would honor christmas all year. He looked outside the window, and he saw a boy, and asked him what day it was today, the boy told him it was christmas day, and scrooge was cheerful that the spirits did it in one night. He tod the boy to get him the prize turkey and if he did it quick he would give him half a crown. The boy came back, with the man that owned the prize turkey, and he paid the man, and told him to bring it to Bob Cratchit's house, and he gave him a cab to get there, and he also paid the boy.He got excited that Bob wouldn't know who sent it, and that it was twice the size of tiny tim.
Scrooge walked down the street, and saw the portly man, that was trying to get a donation from him, scrooge asked for forgiveness, on how he acted yesterday, and gave the man a huge amount of money, and told him that there was more coming in. He then walked to his nephew Fred's house, and asked him if he could join the party, and fred said yes, and scrooge had a wonderful time. He started work early the next day and decided to play a prank on Bob when he came late. Bob Came late, and scrooge told him to come to him, and that he wasn't going to take this type of behavior, and Bob though that he was going to get fired, but scrooge instead gave him a raise. After this tiny tim did not die, Scrooge became a second father to him, and he had better relationships.
My thoughts
I like scrooge better this way because he seem like a much better guy to be around, instead of his usual grumpy behavior. I like that he apologized to the man after what happened the day before, because he could of just given him the money, and just leave rudely without saying anything. Also it is good for Scrooge to have a relationship with Fred, because, he is the only family member that scrooge has left, and that is what his sister probably would of wanted. I think that it is funny that scrooge, pulled that prank on Bob that he was going to be fired, but instead given a raise. It was very nice of scrooge to give Bob that huge turkey, and not tell Bob anything about it, and that he didn't take credit for it.

Scrooge the Hero

In the start on the last chapter in A Christmas Carol Scrooge's promises that he will stay the same and he will live in the past, present, and the future, also Scrooge was very happy because he was laughing, he said that he was happy as an angel and he kept telling people Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Then he recaped everything that happened in his house, like he said that's where Marley appeared  and there was the corner where the Ghost of Christmas present. Then he saw a kid and told him what day was it and the kid said that it was Christmas day. Then he told the kid to go to the pulteres and but the big Turkey and get him where Scrooge was then he will give him the directions and if the boy did it under five minutes, he will give him a half a crown. Then Scrooge said that he will give it to Bob. Then Scrooge is going to donate to charity and pay the employee's more, and then he went to Fred's and he played the games and had a good time there. Then he left and Bob was late for work and Scrooge was pretending to be mad and then Scrooge raises his salary, and Bob thinks he's insane because he can't believe it. Because of this Tiny Tim does not die and Scrooge becomes a second father.

In my opinion I think that Scrooge is one of the nicest person in the book now because he saved a life and he is donating to charity, and he has friends now. I like how Scrooge is helping people now and it makes me very happy because when he was mean it made me mad because some people did not deserve being treated that way. If it was not for the spirits, Scrooge will always be mean and no one would of respect him and made fun of him. I am very happy for Scrooge because he has overcome his past and he is focusing on what's happening now instead of the past. Now he does not hate everyone and now he loves everyone and this all happened in one night.

The end of Stave 5:A new beginning

In this last stave of a Christmas Carol,Scrooge wakes up an says that he will promise to keep the Christmas spirit all year. Scrooge thought it had been days since he saw all three ghosts, but that is not the case, all of three spirits had visited him in one night. Scrooge then tells a boy what the day was today, the boy said Christmas. Scrooge then gives money to the boy, so he could buy the biggest turkey, and send it to Bob Cratchit's house, so they could enjoy a meal. Scrooge gets nicely dressed and starts walking on the streets smiling at the other people. Scrooge than meets the two gentlemen from the beginning of the book, and he tell them that he is going to donate a lot of money to the people that are in poverty. Scrooge then wanders off to his nephew's house which is Fred, and go to his Christmas party dinner. Scrooge then has the courage enough to go knock on Fred's door, and come inside, Scrooge said that he had a great time at Fred's house. The next day Scrooge comes to work early, and that notices that Bob Cratchit is late to work. Scrooge then acts to pretend to be angry with Bob once he comes in, but then Scrooge gives Bob a salary. Scrooge then says Merry Christmas to Bob, by this Bob can provide for his family, and Tiny Tim will live. At the end of the stave, Tiny Tim is older, and thinks of Scrooge as his second father, and is grateful to Scrooge.

I really liked this last stave a lot I am glad that Scrooge has finally changed, and made a new beginning in his life. If I had lives in the Victorian Era with Scrooge, and he has changes, then I would be grateful that he would be a friend. Overall I think that the book can also teach people in 2019 to change how they are, even if it is only for a short amount of time. I think that this stave must have been the best one that I have read throught  the novel, I really enjoyed it. I think that now Scrooge will have a stronger relationship with Fred, Bob, and Tiny Tim, Scrooge will probably visit them more often, and as well take some time off work. Overall I had really enjoyed reading this book.

New Scrooge

In Stave five, Scrooge woke up in his own bed, in his own room. Scrooge was so relieved to wake up in his house, he was so happy that he began to sob. He began to see his bed curtain that were still attached to his bed, and his pajamas that weren't torn off of him. Scrooge began to walk around his home and began to remember where The ghost of Jacob Marley entered, the Ghost of Christmas present sat, and the window that he saw all of the souls wandering the streets. Scrooge couldn't remember what the date was, he thinks that he has been asleep for a long time. Scrooge opened his window and called out to a young boy as what the date was, the boy said it was christmas. Scrooge told the boy to order him the biggest turkey from the shop, and that when the boy return he will give the boy some money. Scrooge had the plan to give that turkery to the Cratchits, he gave their address to someone that will deliver it to them.

Scrooge dressed up and went along the streets, he began to smile at people and people were happy to see that. Scrooge bumped with the two gentlemen from the begin of the book, Scrooge promised to donate a huge amount of money. Scrooge went to Fred's house, it took Scrooge enough courage to knock his door that he walked past his door many times. When he did he was greeted by a girl, she escorted Scrooge to Fred. Scrooge stayed for Fred's party and was enjoying himself. Scrooge arrived to his office early and was hoping that Bob would arrive late, when Bob did Scrooge acted angry. However, Scrooge actually gave Bob a raise that Bob was very shocked. In the end, Scrooge was fully changed Tiny Tim didn't die, Fred had a relationship with Scrooge, and the Cratchit's will be fine. I personally think that this was a great ending to a book that started off with just a greedy, mean, and disliked man. Now he's a man that is very nice, fun, and a caring person. He now helps the Cratchit family, especially Tiny Tim. Including, that he now has a relationship with Fred, and he gives money to the poor. Overall, I really liked "A Christmas Carol."

Scrooge´s Change

Scrooge has already visited all the spirits, and when he wakes up he noticise that it is Christmas, he was in shook, because it seemed that it had been days that had passed by, and that Christams already happened. Scrooge was in shook to know that all the visits had happened in one night and that not one day has passed by, and it was his chance to show the people that he is different and will change permently. Once Bob Cratchit arrives Scrooge acts angry with him, but really he was going to raise up his salary. Scrooge raised up his salary because when he took a visit with the ghost of Christmas future, Tiny Tim dies, and Scrooge doent want that to happen because he doesnt pay Bob well to be able to pay for medicine. Scrooge is nicer and is more social with people he cares more about the people and talks more. Scrooge is getting to know his nephew better and is being a better example for him, Fred also becomes married and is happy. Scrooge is a whole different person, he changed so his future could be better and to have people care for him. He saw when he died people didnt care and they where actually happy instead, he wanted to change that so he had to change his self in the present. The spirits had a huge impacted in his life, they changed him completely by using emotions, this was for his best.

I think that Scroogewould have a MUCH more happier life now that he changed his life style. He will be remembered when he will pass away, and people would care. I also beilive that further in Scrooge´s future he might find love again, although his love can not be Belle, becasuse she is already and has a family of her own, it is to late for Scrooge to get her back. He future would not be compared at all to what he was shown by the spirits, because he changed and loves and cares more about people.

Final blog post before we lose our souls and sleep in WTYN. Might as well do something different than just summarize and give my thoughts on it. Let us compare the book with the play.

How we feel at the end of ACC and start WTYN
In the play, everyone was screaming and running away from Scrooge like they were scared of him. Scrooge had a maid (I forgot her name) who helped him with some things around the house, like how at the end she helped Scrooge with giving money to everyone, In the scenes the GC Past showed him, it had included more scenes with Fezziwig's parties, Scrooge's old fellow apprentice Dick, his proposal to Belle, and more of his gradual growth to the avarice he had for like 40 years. The GC of Yet to Come showed Scrooge Tiny Tim's funeral and Fred offering Bob any help. At the end, Scrooge meets Fred and his wife on the streets on Christmas Day and asks to meet him later at his house for Christmas dinner, and then he goes to Bob's house and pulls the prank on Bob, delivers the food himself with some carolers, and meets the rest of the Cratchit family. Also we're not sure if the actor for Tiny Tim was a boy or girl.
In the book, it was more like everyone disliked Scrooge than scared of him. He's completely alone at his house and at work other than for Bob. The GC of Past straight-up sprang the break-up scene on Scrooge and also included Belle's happy life with her family. The GC of Yet to Come showed Scrooge the Cratchit family still mourning Tiny Tim. At the end, Scrooge has the party with Fred on Christmas Day, and the day after is when Bob thought Scrooge was going crazy, and then it's only mentioned that he became a second father to Tiny Tim. We know for sure that Tiny Tim's a boy.
The play had been great since for me, it helped visually some of the scenes in the book and I didn't have to struggle as much with Dicken's descriptiveness and big Victorian Era words. We've spent about a month reading the book, about the same amount of time on Of Mice and Men, but ACC felt a lot faster than it. It probably was shorter itself, but maybe also because I've also been dreading WTYN at the same time, while I had enjoyed OMAM without any stress and looked forward to TKAM. That's just me, I don't know about anyone else. Whatever the case, I hope everyone else enjoyed A Christmas Carol too and don't dread WTYN unlike me. If you do, same here, and I guess we can only prepare to die. Byebye y'all.

The Day Has Finally Come

The stave starts off with Scrooge being happy and excited for Christmas after awakening from the three spirits that changed him. Scrooge was really energetic and he went out and felt like his old self again. He went up to a boy and told him to get the biggest turkey in town and bring it to him and he will pay the boy. Scrooge said that he will give the boy a lot of money if he delivers it fast and he went off right away. Scrooge is going to surprise the Cratchit family with the biggest turkey in town. The boy was crying tears of joy because he has never met a man so nice before. Scrooge then went to Fred's party and he was surprised that Scrooge arrived because he would usually never come. Fred sees that Scrooge has changed into a new man and his really relieved. Scrooge came and had a great time at the party eating, singing, dancing, and playing many games. Fred is happy that Scrooge cares about him and many others. Later Bob arrived late to Scrooges and he pretended to act really mean and grumpy and Bob was getting nervous and told Scrooge that it will never happen again. Scrooge then told Bob that he is raising his salary and explained to Bob that he is a new man and he gave extra money toward the Cratchit family to support Tiny Tim and he ended up not dying and was taken under good medical care.

In my opinion Scrooge made the right choice and if I were in his shoes I would of have done the same thing too. What made Scrooge change was when he got to understand what everyone was going through and he started sympathising for them because they were in a really bad situation. Each scene in the last chapter showed a bit of connection in the past where Scrooge made a mistake. Scrooge would help the boy if he delivered the turkey. Scrooge understands what the little boy was going through because he was once in that situation and he sees their point of view. Another scene was when he spent time with his nephew Fred. In the past Scrooge used to hate Fred and blamed him for killing his sister but he later understood that Fred just wants whats best for him and wants to spend time with Scrooge. The last scene was when he helped the Cratchit family when they needed it. Back then Scrooge didn't care that a life would be taken and said that it would only decrease the surplus population but he later regretted everything he said and understood the Cratchits families point of view. Scrooge understands everyone better and wants to try the best he can to help those who needs it.

The Last Chapter of A Christmas Carol

In the last chapter of A Christmas Carol, Scrooge awakes from his journey with the ghosts. He is happy that he is alive and all his belongings are still where they are. Right away he looks out the window and sees a boy, and greets him very nicely and asks him to get the biggest turkey for him. He also tells him that he will pay him a lot of money if he brings it to him fast. Already we see that Scrooge has changed. Scrooge says that he will give the huge turkey to Bob and his family for their Christmas dinner. Time has not past and it is still Christmas day. Scrooge then goes over to Fred's house and Fred is surprised that Scrooge has arrived. Scrooge has a good time at Fred's party, they eat, listen to music, and play lots of games. The next day arrives and Scrooge wants Bob to be late so he can trick him into thinking that he is very angry that he has come late, and little does Bob know he'll raise his salary. Bob does come late, and is scared after Scrooge seemed angry, but then was surprised when Scrooge had said that he will be raising his salary and helping him out with fees.
We also find out that in the future that Tiny Tim does not die, because Scrooge had changed his ways. Many people are surprised of Scrooge's change of living his life. We saw it coming that Scrooge was going to change after all the ghosts had visited Scrooge, and it is good that Scrooge has changed his ways of living life, because it not only affects himself in a positive way, but also affects other people's lives. Scrooge had needed all three of the spirits to make him want to change permanently, though the last spirit really made him make his decision in changing. The book was very interesting and the play was a lot of fun to see as well!

Last Blog Post of "A Christmas Carol"

In our last stave of "A Christmas Carol" Scrooge wakes up in his bed and he feels like a whole new man. He feels inspired and ready to change. The spirits have all used different emotions to fully and effectively change Scrooge. Scrooge is joyful and is full of the Christmas spirit, he skips town and tells a boy to go get the largest turkey for the Cratchits and if he come back in 5 minutes he gets half a crown. This is one of the first people to be affected by Scrooge's change, along with multiple people on the street who said good morning to him thanks to his cheery attitude opposed to his usual grumpy one. He visite Fred, which probably makes him very happy that he finally accepted an offer to dinner. He tells Bob when he is late that it needs to stop and Bob says its only once a year. Then Scrooge says he is raising his pay and Bob thanks him. Tiny Tim is also affected and he lives! Scrooge is like a second father to him, meaning that he cares for him a lot.

Without one of the spirits the changes would've only been temporary or not happened at all. For example of the last spirit had only shown fear and no hope I think that Scrooge would have not changed. He would've seen his future and know what it will be like but, he wouldn't have seen any point in changing if that what he's going to end with after all. I think that fear was overall the most important emotion that the spirits use but, at the same time, without any of the other emotions fear becomes powerless ad can't help Scrooge to change anything but to fear his fate. This is why it is important to have hope, to show Scrooge that if he changes he can also change his future and won't be stuck with such a terrible fate. The first step of scrooge admitting he needs to change something is also very important because it is the first step to change. The emotions the other two spirits who showed him regret and shame, these two are also important but without fear they would've only made temporary changes.Image result for meme for a christmas carol

A New Start

Stave 5,  Scrooge basically becomes a better person at the start of the chapter. Scrooge wakes up from his sleep and realizes he is in his room and his house. He is joyful and pointed out the places where the spirits and Jacob Marley had been. Scrooge then heads out to town. He sees a kid and asks him what day it is and the boy responds that it is Christmas day! Scrooge becomes excited and tells the kid that if he goes and gets the biggest turkey and in return Scrooge gives the boy money. He sends the turkey to the Cratchits' house. Scrooge then sees the gentleman from the other day. He wished the gentleman a merry Christmas and the man was surprised. Scrooge then heads to Fred's house and they spend a delightful dinner together as a family. Afterward, Scrooge is waiting for Bob to arrive to work. When Bob comes Scrooge tells him he will raise Bob's salary. Bob is taken by surprised, Scrooge also helps with Tiny Tim. Scrooge becomes a second father to Tiny Tim and Tiny Tim does not die by the next Christmas!

In my opinion, Scrooge's reaction to the spirit was a good one. He did change for the best and that is good. Now, he is helping a lot of people, he is surely keeping the Christmas Spirit in his heart and is trying to help everyone. It seemed nice to me that Scrooge raised Bob's salary and helped the Cratchit family without wanting anything in return. Also, Scrooge and Fred have a stronger relationship because they are starting to spend more time with each other and Scrooge is also more positive and realized that Fred had also suffered from Fan's death. Scrooge also becomes like a second father to Tiny Tim and the other children which is nice. Scrooge now has someone who will care for him and more people will come to his funeral which might be very soon! He surely changed his future by simple being nicer and more open to the people in town.

The Last ACC Post

Scrooge wakes up from his lesson of FEAR and hope he walks all over his room to make sure everything is at its place and that nothing has gone missing. His bed curtains are still their no one has robbed them.He remembers where all three of the spirits came to visit him. When Scrooge woke up he didn’t know what day it was. He asks a boy from the streets what day it was the boy said it was Christmas. Scrooge was a happy man because the ghost have gave him another chance. Scrooge asked the boy to get the biggest turkey from the butcher. When the boy brought the biggest turkey back he gave the turkey to Bob Cratchit's house. Scrooge was the nicest man that day he even gave money to the foundation for the poor people. Scrooge ended up going to Fred's party. Everyone was very surprised to see him there because he is a very grumpy man and hates christmas. In the end Scrooge raised Bob’s salary and helping out  Bob with the struggle that he and his family had especially Tiny Tim. Scrooge became a second father for Tiny Tim who did not die the next year.
In my opinion I feel great for Scrooge because he change or else he already knows what would happen if he didnt. It was also a good thing that the last spirit used FEAR because he would of not change at all if it did. It is also great that he was being kind to everyone and he also did what was the impossible to change. It was generous of him to give the biggest turkey to Bob Cratchit's house he also raised the salary of Bob to help him out. He was also a second father to Tiny Tim because he saved his life.

A Different Scrooge

The day has come, and we are finally reading the last stave in A Christmas Carol. From the beginning until now, we have gone on a journey with Scrooge in his path of changing to become a better person. From seeing him at the beginning of the book with a grumpy, mean, and selfish personality and attitude, to seeing him getting visited by all three spirits. It is now at the last stave of the book that we see Scrooge as a new person. Now, he is as happy and joyous as ever. He is probably even more happier and giddy than me when I am happy and excited. When Scrooge came back to his normal and regular life after being visited by all three spirits, he was instantly in a bright and cheery mood, and he appreciated seeing multiple of his belonging such as the bed curtains after seeing them in the scenes that he was showed when being visited by the Spirits. It seemed like he woke up on the right side of the bed. Scrooge wished everyone a merry Christmas and a happy New Year, and you can certainly tell how excited and happy he is to be back to his normal life after getting visited by the three spirits. He certainly is now going to change for the better. Scrooge is not grumpy and mean anymore, but he is rather happy and joyful. He is also not his greedy old self anymore. He sent a large prize turkey to the Cratchit family, donated an abundance of money to charity, visited Fred for Christmas dinner, and increased Bob's salary. He even became a second father to Tiny Tim. Scrooge's life took a complete 360, and just reading this last stave made me happy for him and the people around him and in his life.
Personally, if I would have been in Scrooge's place and got visited by all three spirts, I would have reacted the same way as he did too when he came back to his normal life. What I read in stave five reminded me of when you wake up from one of the worst nightmares ever, and I can totally understand and tell why Scrooge is happy, giddy, excited, and acting just the way he is. Just imagine having a dream that one of your loved ones in your life died, and you were feeling such fear, sadness, and a ton of other emotions in your dream. However, when you woke up, you instantly made sure that that person was still alive, and when you saw that person who died in your dream, you were relieved and were the happiest you have ever been when you realize that they did not really die. This is equivalent to what Scrooge is going through. After being visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and going and visiting all of the scenes that gave out the emotion of regret, shame, and fear, of course Scrooge would be beyond happy to come back to his normal life, and what he had gone through would have changed him. This is similar to if you have a sibling who you have always been mean to, but one day you have a dream that they died. However, after that dream, you were actually happy to see that they were safe and okay, and you may have started acting a little nicer to them. What Scrooge had gone through was just like this but a hundred times worse that it helped him change for good and for the better with all three of the sprits. This is how I view what Scrooge was like when he came back to his normal life after being visited by the three spirits, and I can relate to his feelings after putting myself in his shoes. In the end, I am happy for him and others around him, and I hope he has a better life after what he has gone through and realized.

Stave 4

In Stave 4, Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The spirit is tall and skinny and you can not see his face. The spirit has a skeletal hand and points to places for Scrooge to listen to instead of talking. The spirit takes Scrooge to many scenes of bussines men and families and people on the streets talking about a recent death. They then go to the slums where Mrs. Dilber is selling Joe bed curtains and bedding and high quality pajamas. Joe asks where she got these items and she says that she took them off of a dead mans body. Scrooge knows that this is his body and that people are making fun of his death and don't really seem to care that he has died and may even be happy that he has died.

Scrooge sees this and is scared and realizes that he needs to change. The last emotion that Dickens uses is fear. He uses this emotion because fear estils hope and Scrooge needs all of these emotions to truly change. I feel bad that everyone feels this way about Scrooge and that no one really even cares that he has died and that someone went as far as to take the clothes off of his body and sell them. However I understand why everyone thinks this way of him. He is a sour old man who sits on his money and doesn't do anything when he could really change some peoples lives.

Scrooge then asks the spirit to show him another death where people have some sort of emotion towards it. The spirit takes Scrooge to the Cratchit house and we find out that Tiny Tim has died. The whole family is very sad and the once happy and cheery home is how sad and everyone is really sad. They say that Bob walks slower then he used to. Even Fred who didn't know the family well paid his respects to the family and offers to help the family with Tiny Tim's funeral.

Scrooge has so much money because his main fear is that he will fall into poverty, but he does not do anything with his money, but save it and it stacks up and he does nothing with it. Scrooge could very easily help the Cratchits and pay for Tiny Tim's medical expenses and get him the best doctors. Although Scrooge may not do that, the least he could do is to pay Bob a little more than he does becausehe underpays Bob extremly and could spare some oney to keep a young boy alive.

A Different Scrooge

When Scrooge wakes up from his experience with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, he walks around his room and makes sure everything is still there where it is supposed to be. He checks that the curtains that hang from his bed are still there and not stolen, and he looks all over his room and remembers where all the Spirits appeared to him. Scrooge woke up and did not know what day it was, and he asked a boy who was walking on the streets what day it was, and he replied that it was Christmas. Scrooge became happy because he realized that the Spirits have given him another chance through this Christmas. Scrooge told the kid to go get the big turkey from the poulterer's on the corner, and when the kid brought it back, he sent the turkey off the Bob Cratchit's house. Scrooge was nice to everyone and he even donated money to the foundation that the portly gentlemen were working for. Scrooge did end up going to Fred's Christmas Party, and everyone was surprised to see him there. In the end, Scrooge ended up giving Bob a raise and helping Bob with the struggle of his family. Scrooge also became like a second father for Tiny Tim who did not die.

I feel very happy for Scrooge after reading this chapter. We finally see Scrooge changing his ways nd changing into a better person. All the regret, shame, and fear payed off in the end for Scrooge. Now that I see that Scrooge is happy, it makes me even happier. I feel good for Scrooge because he is finally feeling happy in his life, and he has now changed his fate. Scrooge has finally realized that being happy is more important than being wealthy. I am very glad that Tiny Tim did not die because that would have been very sad, and I am glad that Scrooge changed his ways because by doing so he will help a lot of people. I knew how the ending would be since I already watched the play, but reading the ending still makes me happy. It was very funny to see how the people at Fred's Party reacted to seeing Scrooge there. I know that I would be very surprised to see such a sudden change in Scrooge. In the end, everything turned out great and Scrooge was happy once again, which made me happy as well.

Everyone at Fred's Party sipping their tea and

A New Man?!

After all those lessons that Scrooge had to go threw he  finally wakes up and is in a weird mood that he has never felt before, new mood.Scrooge will change after what he has gone threw,we can tell that he will change because he doesn't like the future.Scrooge has been reborn because he has been given a new chance to rebuild his life with new opportunities from the spirits.Scrooge shows that he can change by going to Fred's house to have fun,he does this because he  wants to be a new person. He is surrounded by his nephew and the Cratchit family and was having the time of his life.Everything is going so well right now! Scrooge is changing and he's change is affecting the cratchit family because he ordered a turkey for them.

In my opinion I like the new Scrooge because is starting to affect many people's life because he changed.Scrooge is changing a lot because for the first time he went to Fred's house to have fun, which other guests were really shocked to see him there. The spirits showed Scrooge many reasons why he needed to change like they made him regret and feel shame. The lessons that Scrooge learned from the spirits we can learn as well.Because all those lessons made Scrooge a new man and he is changing so much!He even bought the cratchit family a turkey and he did it because he knows he has to change and he didn't even ask anything for return.Do you like that Scrooge is changing? I like that he finally gave Fred a chance and decided to come to his party to have fun!

Play V.S. Book

Scrooge has officialy changed now. Scrooge after seeing the last ghost is so eager to help somebody that his giddy like a schoolboy with excitement. Scrooge goes out and thinking of the caroler he had made felt lonely saw a boy asked him to get a big turkey and gave him half a crown. Scrooge next gets the turkey and writes the address of Bob Crachit's house to send him the turkey anonymously. As he is so excited as the turkey is twice the size of Tiny Tim. Then Scrooge goes to Fred's house who has house maids and does very well off, and asks him if he can still join for his invitation. Fred just as eagerly as Scrooge accepts and they join in a party for a while. Then what Scrooge has eagerly wanted to do is now here as Bob Crachit is coming to work he is eighteen minutes late. Scrooge says he can not tolerate this any longer and says after sounding like he was going to fire him says he will give him a raise. The play did a really great job of this especially this part I can remember how actively excited Scrooge was when he said he was getting a raise and Bob Crachit's amazement.
The play is almost exactly similar to the book. As the play may not have all the spoken lines, but it definitely implies almost everything left unsaid through behaviorism and mannerisms. As though almost all the important lines that come to my mind I recall hearing during the play, though I do not think they ended with the line, "and so as Tiny Tim observed God bless us everyone." It did not mention anything about the Christmas Present's 1800 brothers. Though it misses some lines it is so well done and representative of how you feel reading it and was just great to watch especially at a nice theater. It also exaggerated firing Scrooge then giving him a raise where as the book made it seem like he was going to fire him, but he did not say it to keep the joke, but implied it was coming though he really said he would in the play. Though they both end up with Scrooge not only giving him a raise, but Tiny Tim as he ended being considered a second father to him and very involved, hopefully with his nephew he struggles so much just to have a relationship with him top. Though it did not say if he stayed close with Fred though he definitely did, but I am curious as to how close he may be to where Scrooge lived and I really wonder and wish we got to see every important character's reaction to Scrooge changing especially Bob Cratchit and Fred's wife.

The End of Christmas Carol

Image result for christmas carol memesIt is sad to hear that this is the last blog post for Christmas Carol that we will be having, as well as are last blog post for a long time. I think that throughout this entire book Scrooge has learned so much, by recalling his past, seeing what people think of him, and how people think of him in the future. Scrooge has decided to change his fate, by becoming a good person, he will save Tiny Tim, and make sure that he treats people the way he would like to be treated. Scrooge will be Tiny Tim's hero, because he allowed the Cratchits to have their baby brother or son's life back. If Scrooge were not to change, Tiny Tim wouldn't have seen another Christmas. I am sure the entire Cratchit family is very thankful for Scrooge, for giving his life back, and saving their family from grief. Scrooge saw how the Cratchits handled Tiny Tim's death, maybe, he wanted to make sure Tiny Tim lived, so he wouldn't have to see their family grieve over his death.

I think that Scrooge will change forever, and not go back to his old ways of being selfish and greedy. I don't think Scrooge wants to relive the moments he saw when the ghosts came to show him. When Scrooge's time comes he will get to see all of his actions, and I don't think he wants all of them to be bad. Scrooge truly wants to change and become a better person, because he knows that his actions affect a lot of people, not just him. Scrooge has seen and witnesses a lot of things in his life, that are painful, and all three spirits showed those painful memories to change Scrooge. Each spirit had a specific emotion that their scenes made Scrooge feel. The first, regret, the second, shame or embarrassment, and the third, fear and hope. You can make someone afraid, but they won't try to change unless there is hope for them to change their fate. I don't know why some people would think that as soon as you are born, your path is set in life for you, because that would be a rough life to live. You would have no motivation to live and change your fate, which is like just using the emotion of fear without hope. I think that Scrooge will change forever, what do you think Scrooge will chose to do?

A Changed Man

After is horrifying dream with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, Scrooge wakes up in his bed, but in a new mood. When he gets up, he starts to sense a change in himself. He rejoices, celebrating the Spirits in what they had done for him. When he gets outside, he starts greeting Merry Christmas to everyone around him, and they are surprised that a man like Scrooge could change in a single night. Scrooge starts his generousness. He orders a large turkey for Bob Cratchit's family, and he gives the courier a good amount of money in return. Also, he comes by Fred's house and participates in their Christmas party and games. Since Scrooge changed his ways, as well as exceeded the Spirit's expectations. Therefore, Tiny Tim didn't die, and Scrooge was known now as a kind man who shared everything he had to the world. He didn't die lonely, but surrounded by friends.

The ending of A Christmas Carol is a storybook ending. Everything ends with a happily ever after tone. I do agree with the message the book gives us: Keep the Spirit of Christmas with you year round. Also, the book has a big life lesson we could all take from it. This lesson is that life isn't about power and money, but it is about relationships and time well spent. Scrooge realized his mistake and switched to what life is supposed to be, instead of the businessman's belief on what life is. We also learned that it takes Regret, Shame, and Fear to change someone permanently, and Scrooge really needed that change, and he got it. I feel happy for Scrooge, and his newfound friends, they are happy for him, and Scrooge himself is now truly happy, because he has now discovered what life is about, and now he has people who care about him deeply.

ACC Post

In stave four, Scrooge was visited by another spirit. This spirit goes by the name of The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. The spirit was described as a phantom. It was tall, its face and body were covered, and the only thing we were able to see of it was the skeletal hand. The spirit did not talk at all, so it was mute. It was the physical representation of the Grim Reaper or the Angel of Death. The huge idea of being unknown is the spirit's point. The unknown is one of the worse fears of humans. There are three Christmases that they visit. The first scene is two businessmen talking about a man's death. They speak poorly about the man and make fun of how they will only attend the funeral if there's food. The second scene would be very brief. The second scene was an exchange between two men talking about Old Scratch. The third scene takes place in the slums of London. Mrs. Dilber is a woman trying to flip some things to a man named Joe who probably sells things on the "black market". Mrs. Dilber is selling Joe bed curtains, a blanket, and a set of pajamas. Mrs. Dilber claims that she had gotten it from a dead man, but the real story is that she had pulled them all off the dead corpse of the body of Scrooge. They joke about the dead man which really just adds insult to injury.

First of all, the author is using a lot of dark humor here. The characters crack a lot of dark and morbid jokes. I also think that some people took it a bit too far to make fun of dead man, even when he's not had a happy life. I feel bad to the extent of how of it goes. It goes to the point where a woman has no respect for his corpse and just steals his stuff while his corpse is on the bed. What's disgusting is that she had stripped the corpse of its clothes as well. Also, that robbers had stumbled upon his corpse first instead of family or friends. At this point, Scrooge really feels bad for the person they're talking about. I honestly feel bad when Scrooge realizes that they were all talking about him. The business men were very disrespectful in saying that the only way they would attend the funeral would be if there were free food. I also think that the spirit's emotion that he is using, fear, is really working.

Victorian Party

At the very start of stave four Scrooge meets the Spirit of Christmas yet to come. This spirit is described just like it looked in the play. The spirit has a dark shadowy body and only makes small moments like pointing and nodding. From this information I now want to know what this spirit will look like during the Victorian party. The spirit doesn’t talk, so the person who plays it will have to find another way to speak so I’m interested in that. From what I understand so far about the Victorian party you have act like the person you will be playing. The Spirit of Christmas Yet To Come uses fear to change the mind of Scrooge. Will the spirit become happier because Scrooge has changed or will the spirit stay the same and be scary?
In my opinion I hope that the spirit stays the same. This is because it will make the person playing the spirit have a interesting role. They will have to creatively play the role and I will be looking forward to it. Other than seeing people playing their role at the party I’m looking forward to seeing what food will be made. I don’t think that the recipes would include a lot of ingredients or be that hard to make, but I don’t know about the classes cooking skills. Overall I think that the Victorian party will be really fun and I’m interested to see the outcome.

Stave Four so Far

So fist in Stave four, Scrooge sees the ghost of christmas yet to come and it is approaching him and then Scrooge bent down for him when the spirit got near him. The ghost of christmas yet to come is the most fearsome to Scrooge because Scrooge said it. Scrooge was asking the spirit questions, but the spirit did not answer none of them all all he did was pointed when he wanted Scrooge to go somewhere. In the first scene Scrooge and the ghost went to London and they watch to people talk about a person who has just died and was wealthy and is was obvious that they were talking about Scrooge and they did not know where his money was going to then the two men talk about that they do not know if they are going to the funeral or not and his family or friends are not going and then they starts making jokes about him. In Scene two the two men mentioned his death and they are secretly happy that Scrooge is dead. Then in scene three, they go to apart of London that is in poverty and we meet two new characters that are peddlers and they get stuff for free and sell it and the two characters name is Joe and Mrs. Dilber. Mrs. Dilber has things from someone who has died and the things she took were bed curtains, blankets off the dead body, and pajamas off the dead body and they were making jokes about Scrooge. Scrooge is dead and no one cares and they don't even know if he was dead or not.

In my opinion I feel bad for Scrooge even though he does not know that they are talking about him. Even though Scrooge was a bad person, they really should not be making jokes about a dead person because that is really mean. Like the two men were making jokes about him an that they will only come if there was food. Just like Joe and Mrs. Dilber were making fun of him and making jokes about Scrooge. To me one of the meanest characters in the book will be Mrs. Dilber because she made jokes about a dead man and also stole from him which was not good at all.

ACC Stave Four

The Ghost Yet to Come came and visited Scrooge. The ghost is wearing a black garment covering its head and its body. The face is covered with darkness all the ghost shows is its hand. The ghost is a large phantom which represents the grim reaper and it is the physical representation of death. Scrooge is afraid of the ghost because he doesn't know what the ghost looks like. The ghost tries to use fear to change Scrooge. The ghost never speaks and it only points where it wants Scrooge to go. The first scene is that they go to London and observe two gentlemen talking about a dead man whose died. They say that the man who died was wealthy and that no one liked the man. The men don't know who the money is going to. The gentlemen don't know who would go to the funeral because the person had no family or friends. The men joke and say they will go to the funeral if there is free lunch. The second scene that the ghost shows Scrooge is two men mentioning Scrooge's death and Call him Old Scratch. The two men are making are happy that Scrooge is dead. The third scene is that the ghost and Scrooge go to a part of London in poverty. Joe and Mrs. Dilber are peddlers who get stuff and sell it on the black market. Mrs. Dilber has things from a person who died. Mrs. Dilber stole bed-curtains, blankets on top of the dead body, and pajamas of off the corpse. They are making fun of the person too. This person has died and no one cares or even knows the person is dead. Robbers found the person dead before anyone else found him. The ghost is trying to show Scrooge is that this will happen to him, if he doesn't change.
I think that Scrooge will change after the ghost shows Scrooge a few more scenes. Once, Scrooge figures out who the people are talking about, he will freak out and he will want to change. Fear is one of the most important emotions because this will make people change and they don't want to feel fear. After the ghost is done showing Scrooge the future, the spirits used the different emotions to change Scrooge. Scrooge will change because he doesn't want to feel fear again and doesn't want to feel all of the bad emotions he felt.

Sam

Summary
So the Stave starts with the spirit of christmas yet to come, coming up to scrooge, Scrooge asks the spirit if he is the ghost of christmas yet to come, but during all the time scrooge tries to speak to him the ghost never responds. Then Scrooge tells the ghost that he is the one that he fears the most, out of all the three spirits, Scrooge could not see the ghosts face, but what he could see that he was a tall dark figure with a dark robe, and he has skeletal hands, so it is like the grim reaper. The ghost points to where he is going to take scrooge, and he takes him to the city, where they go to two merchants, and they are talking about scrooge's death, but scrooge, doesn't know that they are talking about him. The two men ask each other if they know what scrooge did with his money, one then comments that he didn't leave it to him, they both laugh, and they say that they bet that his funeral is going to be a cheap one, and that no one is going to go, and that the only way that they are going to go is if they provide a free lunch.
The Ghost then shows him a short scene, and two people mention scrooge, and call him old scratch, and say that they are happy that he is dead. The Spirit then show him a scene, where a hustler, called Mrs, Dilmer, where she is selling some things. The things are a bed curtain, a blanket, and some      pajamas, She asks the man that she is selling it to called joe how much it is worth. While they are talking she makes jokes that she took it off a dead guy, and that she couldn't waste anything that was on him, Joe then says he hopes, if the man, got something that he wouldn't get it that might get him sick. They made more jokes about scrooges dead body, and scrooge then realizes that all the people that the ghost is showing him are talking about him, and that he is not like by anyone, and that this will happen after his death if he does not change.
    My thoughts
I understand that nobody like scrooge, about how he was always mean to everyone, but no one deserves this amount of disrespect. Mrs. Dilmer, literally stole his pajamas off his dead body, and left his body there without telling anyone that he is dead. Why are people making jokes, about this, I understand if they don't care that he died but, they shouldn't make jokes, he is a human, being. Also why would you rob from a dead body, instead if you try to rob you should at least leave the body alone, instead of robbing it of everything. Also I wonder why the ghost doesn't speak, and if he/she did speak I wonder how it would sound like. Also Does the ghost of christmas past have a face, for all we know he could just be a little being controlling a larger thing, and isn't saying anything to not blow its cover.

ACC What we know so far in Stave Four

In the beginning of stave four of a Christmas Carol, we meet the Ghost of Christmas yet to come, also known as the phantom. Scrooge was kneeling down to the phantom, and saying things to it, the phantom did not say anything, the emotion that the phantom is showing, is fear. The phantom has no facial features, and it did not show its face because it wore a hood that covered his head in black, the only body part that it had was hands, but its hands are skeleton hands. For the ghost to communicate with Scrooge, it points. In the first scene that the Ghost shows Scrooge is that there are some business men that had said that a wealth business man had died, and they were wondering who his money would go to.They also said that if the funeral had no free food, then they would not go.They had also said that the person who had died, will have a very cheap funeral because no one would go to the funeral. The person that had died was actually Scrooge, and it is taking part in his future, when he is dead. In this next Scene, a lady was selling Scrooge's things, her name was Mrs.Dilber.She was selling Scrooge's things to a old man named Joe, they were making fun of Scrooge. Joe asks how she got these things, and she said that she went into Scrooge's home, and took his bed curtains, and some clothes. She had even took off the pajamas off of Scrooge's dead body, and leaving his corpse naked in his home. No one would care, if Scrooge does not change himself in the future when he is dead.

I think that Scrooge will change after the Ghost of Christmas yet to comes shows him some more fearsome scenes. I think that fear is the most important one out of the two emotions that the other spirits have shown Scrooge is he does not change. I think this because when you are in fear with the world, you think that you may lose everything, and are in fear that others do not like you. this is an example to Scrooge because he is scared to be in poverty, and that is probably why he acts the way he is right now, but will soon change. I definitely think that Scrooge will have the most effect of emotion on this spirit, rather than the other spirits. This is what I think that the fear of emotion means in this book, and how scrooge will change from this emotion.

Mrs. Dilmer...

In Stave Four, Scrooge was finally visited by the last of the three ghost. Its name is "The ghost from christmas yet to come." It wore a black robe, was very tall, and had a skeleton hand that he used to point. You couldn't see the Phantom's face, it was being covered by a hood. Scrooge declared that out of all the ghost he has seen, it was the most scariest one. Scrooge told the phantom to go ahead and teach him his lesson, this is because he wants to change now. The phantom doesn't speak so scrooge mostly speaks for him, the phantom just points. The phantom took Scrooge to a place where two business men were talking, they were talking about a man that had recently died. They kept on saying about how no one showed up and that they would only go if they were offering free food. Then, the phantom took scrooge to a different part of town that was unsanitary and was very nasty. They saw two people, a man named Joe and a woman named Mrs. Dilmer. They both sell stuff in the blackmarket, Mrs. Dilmer steals, then she sells what she steals to Joe. Mrs. Diler and Joe begin to laugh about a man that died, Mrs. Dilmer reveals that she stole from the dead man's house and even his clothing.

Mr. Dilmer when she sees those pjs

I personally think that it's pretty disturbing of Mrs. Dilmer to go so far into robbing a dead man's things. Especially when she robbed his bed curtains with him still laying dead on his bed. But, it's that not as bad as when she took of the dead man's clothes just to sell them.  She left the dead man's body lying naked on his own bed, and was just robbed from some women that is just going to sell his belonging in the black market to random people. Including, that when Joe touched the man's pajamas he joked about the man dying from a disease, and they both just laughed. Overall, its pretty disturbing of Mrs. Dilmer of stealing from a dead man. What do you think?

Scrooge's Fear of the Phantom

In stave four, Scrooge would meet the last spirit. The spirited soon apeared to Scrooge, but the figure was dark adn he couldnt see the spirits face. The spirit aproached to Scrooge quitley, slowly, and gravely, as Scrooge knelt down on the floor. The spirit was a tall dark figure, it was super dark, that the spirits face was unknow. The spirit didnt move nor spoke, Scrooge asked the spirit question but no respons came to Scrooge. The spirits hand where dark as well, but they were skeleton hands, which makes the figure even more frightening for Scrooge. The spirit pointed its skeleton hand towards a direction, so Scrooge would be able to understand the spirit, gestures where being used instead of the spirits words. The spirit wanted Scrooge to get up and go to where he was pointing. Scrooge was told to get up and as he was getting up his legs would tremble and he couldn't get up proberly. He was so scared of the dark tall figure that he could barley even walk.

In this stave where Scrooge meet the phantom I felt bad, because he had basically meet death. You could tell that he was full of teroir because the book says that his legs trebaled and that he could barely even stand up to walk. I also think that it is for the best, for Scrooge to be experinceing these horrible things, because the scences would change Scrooge completly and for good. He will have a happy life, if he changes in time, and does good things for others.

ACC Stave Four So Far

Yesterday we read how Scrooge met with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, and they're visiting a future if Scrooge never changes. The Ghost is really scary because most of it is unknown. it never talks, the only body part that is visible is its skeletal hand. It looks like the grim reaper or an angel of death. Its the physical representation of death. So far they've visited three scenes. The first one was some businessmen talking about a man's death, and how they'll only go to his funeral if there's gonna be food. The second was a very brief exchange between two men. They mention Old Scratch's (Scrooge) death and move on to the weather. Scrooge is really confused by now and horrified about the way they're talking about the dead man, how no one seems to care at all about him. The Ghost and Scrooge then come to a part in the slums, where they see two women and a man trying to sell stuff on the black market. The stuff they stole came from a dead man's house, with the dead man still in it. Mrs. Dilber, one of the robbers, took the bed curtains with the dead man still in bed, blankets off the dead guy's body, and also taking his pajamas off the corpse. Joe, the guy they're selling the stuff to, joke with Mrs. Dilber about the stuff she stole, and Scrooge is wondering who the dead guy is and is horrified at how they're basically adding insult to injury to this poor dead guy (poor, get it? He's not poor?).
Please ignore the bad joke. It's understandable that this is the slums and stealing things is a job, but stealing a dead guy's stuff when he's still in the bedroom is taking it a little far. At least steal from someone still alive. Or not steal at all, which is the safer choice. The point is that even if a person is really disliked, disrespecting the dead like this isn't very nice, for lack of better words. Even Scrooge is horrified by all of this, and he doesn't know that it's him they're stealing from. Then the businessmen from earlier shouldn't have talked so badly about him, or call him "Old Scratch" and considered him so insignificant that they move onto the weather right away. That's disrespecting the dead too. I wonder when Scrooge will realize that they're talking about him, and which scene this Ghost shows him that'll change him for good. We know this Ghost is using fear to change Scrooge, but which scene is the one that's going to hit Scrooge the hardest, like how the scene with Belle and her family with the Ghost of Christmas Past hit Scrooge the hardest, because I've forgotten from the play which scenes Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows Scrooge.

So Far in Stave Four

At the start of stave four, the last ghost had come to visit Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. It was wearing black clothes, its face was covered up, and the spirit was tall. Scrooge had asked the spirit multiple questions, but it had not replied back to any of his questions, even later on in the reading it does not speak to Scrooge. Scrooge then tells the spirit that he is ready to go with it and wants to be a different man than he used to be before the spirits had visited him. Scrooge is The spirit shows him a scene where people that find out that Scrooge has died, and they talk about how he had given none of his money to anyone. The spirit then shows a scene of two businessmen that Scrooge knows, they then talk about the death of Scrooge. The spirit had finally shown Scrooge a very bad and run down town. In it there are three people who talk about the death of Scrooge or someone else.

In this stave we really see that Scrooge wants to change his ways, because in the beginning of the chapter he clearly says to the spirit that he wants to be a different man when they are done. He has realized that the way he has been living life the past decades unhappy and full of sins. This spirit is so far showing him what will happen to him if he continues to live a sinful life. Hopefully this will really make Scrooge want to change his ways and turn his life around. This will probably happen, since we had seen the play for this book. I find it interesting that Scrooge has not realized that the scenes of people discussing a person who had recently died, is actually supposed to be him.

The Fear of Death

The last of the spirits came to visit Scrooge and it was described wearing a deep black garment with nothing really visible except for its hand. Scrooge was very scared of the ghost but he knew that the spirit was there to help him change into a better person. Scrooge told the ghost that it was only there to change him and to lead him on to what he needs to see. The ghosts only response was a little nod. Scrooge said that he was prepared to witness whatever is going to be shown at him. Scrooge knows that it will be very painful and scary but he knows that it is going to help him. Scrooge at this point of the book wants to change for sure and wants to be the person he once was. Scrooge was taken to a town in the future and it showed a group of wealthy businessmen who were talking about a man's death that died with a lot of money. They then said what happened to all of the money and where it went. They then proceed to say that the money could of been used for the good of others. When they talked about a man dying, I knew it was Scrooge because he died with a lot of money. The men said that Scrooge must of had a cheap funeral because no one was there to see it. No one came to Scrooge's funeral not even Fred because he was so greedy and mean. Scrooge was then taken to another scene with a woman named Mrs. Dilber and some men around her. They were proceeding to talk about Scrooge's death and how he died with a lot of money and how lonely he was.

In this stave I felt bad for Scrooge and didn't at the same time because it was his fault that he had a funeral alone. Scrooge died with no one around him not even his own family member Fred which was sad. Scrooge grew really mean and greedy because all of the events that happened in his live. The spirit was there to show Scrooge that he must change or else he would have a funeral with no one to support him and would die with a terrible life. The spirit is making Scrooge change for sure so that he doesn't suffer the same fate as his business partner Jacob Marley. The ghost is showing Scrooge fear which makes him want to change even more. It wraps up all of the spirits themes to make Scrooge change. Fear will make Scrooge take action and make him change.

Stave 4.

In stave 4 we met the Ghost of Christmas yet to come. It had a black garment which blocked the view of his head and body. The only visible part was his left hand and it didn't talk. When Scrooge asked him who he was the spirit just pointed. Scrooge was scared and the Spirit just observed him. They went to the city which it was spring at that time. they saw some business men talking about the death of some man but didn't seem to know when he died or how. They also didn't seem to care and said it would be a cheap funeral. Then they headed to an obscured part of town where the poor people lived in. There was also shops and they came to the presence of a women and man. Then a man named Joe invited them into the parlor. The woman and the man were talking about the death of Scrooge. They were not talking so kindly of Scrooge and he just looked in horror.

In my opinion the Ghost of Christmas yet to come is going to change Scrooge the most. He has this scary appearance and the fact he cant talk is kind of surprising. Know Scrooge has to figure all out by himself and the Ghost just guides him to the next destination. The fit scene was also kind of sad, no one seemed to take Scrooge's death seriously, they didn't seem sad about him being gone which is horrifying if you are Scrooge. This scene hopefully made Scrooge want to change. I mean he saw how people didn't care about him being dead and would sometimes laugh and would only seem interested in his money. I believe that the Spirit will end changing Scrooge for the better. By the end of stave 4 Scrooge will start to become a nicer person and will try to help everyone, specially Tiny Tim who is close to death.

Christmas Carol Blog Post

Scrooge meets the last of the three spirits, this spirit will use fear to help Scrooge change. This spirit is very creepy, it is ina deep black garment and you cannot see its face. I think the fact you can't see its face makes it more mysterious which leads to it being overall more scarier.  Scrooge is scared of the spirit just like a lot of us would be. The spirit brings them to town with a lot of businessmen discussing someone who died, Scrooge doesn't know they are talking about him yet. This is why Scrooge still has hope that he will see himself in the future, changed. Of course, he doesn't see this because his future self is dead in this case. They start headed to another part of town and they see Old Joe and three people who sell his belongings.

If I was Scrooge I would be very scared too, the spirit sounds scary and seeing your own death and peoples reaction to it would definitely scare someone into changing, especially if the reaction isn't necessarily good. The spirit is shown what will happen to Scrooge if he continues on how he is doing things. I think that this spirit will help him a lot because fear will drive him the most to change. I think the fact that he hears people talk about his with such disrespect and they don't even miss him at all will also help a lot to change him. Especially when they see that the only reason people will attend his funeral is for food, and also when he sees people sell his belongings for money, not even caring that he died. I would be embarrassed or offended if I saw people laughing over my death, I think it would push anyone to do anything they could to stop that from becoming a reality.

The Last of Them All

Related imageThe spirit of Christmas yet to come the last of them all. The spirit has a pitch black garment you can't see anything else beside its skeleton arms. The ghost had a very scary appearance Scrooge said it was a very scary spirit. The spirit did not talk at all so the ghost would never answer to scrooge's questions. The ghost would only point into a direction where he wants scrooge to go to. The way that Scrooge reacted to the first time seeing him was that he was as scared as a chicken. We can tell that scrooge is changing for the better because even though he is scared of the spirit he knows that he needs to change for the good.Scrooge in this chapter is willing to do anything to change even the fate of the spirit. The spirit took Scrooge to a city and one moment into his future the spirit took Scrooge to listen to a conversations between businessmen. The first businessman was talking about the death of Scrooge but he still does not know that. One man even said that not even one person is going to go to his funeral which means that he has treated the people poorly enough that they don't care about scrooge at all. The spirit then takes Scrooge a little bit further into his future. Were there are two women and a man. In this scene they were  talking about the death of Scrooge. The women then the man to see what they had for sale the man recognizes some curtains that were from scrooge.

In my opinion the way that they were explaining the ghost of christmas of yet to come was scary enough. If the third Ghost does not enter into the soul of Scrooge and change him and don't know what will. The ghost is showing him this because he is trying to show his bad way and what they lead him to be. In this chapter I believe he is showing that he would do anything to change from the man he is to a better man. If he does not change he will die and be forgotten as the worst person who ever died
