I think that Scrooge will change after the Ghost of Christmas yet to comes shows him some more fearsome scenes. I think that fear is the most important one out of the two emotions that the other spirits have shown Scrooge is he does not change. I think this because when you are in fear with the world, you think that you may lose everything, and are in fear that others do not like you. this is an example to Scrooge because he is scared to be in poverty, and that is probably why he acts the way he is right now, but will soon change. I definitely think that Scrooge will have the most effect of emotion on this spirit, rather than the other spirits. This is what I think that the fear of emotion means in this book, and how scrooge will change from this emotion.

ACC What we know so far in Stave Four
In the beginning of stave four of a Christmas Carol, we meet the Ghost of Christmas yet to come, also known as the phantom. Scrooge was kneeling down to the phantom, and saying things to it, the phantom did not say anything, the emotion that the phantom is showing, is fear. The phantom has no facial features, and it did not show its face because it wore a hood that covered his head in black, the only body part that it had was hands, but its hands are skeleton hands. For the ghost to communicate with Scrooge, it points. In the first scene that the Ghost shows Scrooge is that there are some business men that had said that a wealth business man had died, and they were wondering who his money would go to.They also said that if the funeral had no free food, then they would not go.They had also said that the person who had died, will have a very cheap funeral because no one would go to the funeral. The person that had died was actually Scrooge, and it is taking part in his future, when he is dead. In this next Scene, a lady was selling Scrooge's things, her name was Mrs.Dilber.She was selling Scrooge's things to a old man named Joe, they were making fun of Scrooge. Joe asks how she got these things, and she said that she went into Scrooge's home, and took his bed curtains, and some clothes. She had even took off the pajamas off of Scrooge's dead body, and leaving his corpse naked in his home. No one would care, if Scrooge does not change himself in the future when he is dead.

I agree with your statement here, Alex. Scrooge will change because he has already experienced the other two emotions, and he needs the last one, fear, to affect him too. Yes, he will have a lot of emotion from the Spirit, and he will most likely change based on the scenes we have seen so far. They say fear is a powerful motivator, and I agree with them.
ReplyDeleteNice job with your summary Alex. I also think that Scrooge will change because you need all ghost to change Scrooge, and also Fear is the best motivator. Yeah I agree with you Alex that Scrooge is scared to be in poverty so this is one of the reasons he acts like this. Me too Alex, I also agree that Scrooge will have the most effect on the spirit of yet to come because of fear. Overall Nice job with your blog Alex.
ReplyDeleteGood job with your blog post Alex! You did a good job with your summary and describing the third spirit.ALso in my opinion I don't like MRs.Dilber at all because what she did was really messed up,she saw Scrooge dead and instead of helping him she just took his things!I also agree that he will change after the ghost is done with him because he doesn't like what his future looks like.Overall you did a joob job with your summary, very clear and I agree with everything you said about Scrooge changing after all of this is over.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that Scrooge will change after the Ghost Yet to Come shows him more scenes. Scrooge has felt the other two emotions and after he feels fear, Scrooge will change forever. Fear is an important and can change someone for a little bit. The spirit is an example of fear because it is unknown what the spirit looks like. Scrooge will not want to feel these bad emotions and will want to change. Good job on summarizing stave four and good job on giving your opinion.
